Safe, Timely, Reliable and Flexible Transportation

Our Transportation services are intended to help eligible people consistently access and engage in services and support essential for healthy development, illness management, recovery, and community living.


This transportation is not intended to replace the use of Medicaid transportation or Public Transportation for those able to use them effectively. 


Eligible services and locations include treatment, support/resource services related to the prevention or management of a mental health disorder.

Substance Abuse Services

Referrals and Eligibility

Referrals are screened for eligibility and processed through the Oswego County Adult Single Point of Access (SPOA) (315)963-5361. 


Approved referrals are forwarded to Catholic Charities.  SPOA will reassess eligibility on an annual basis.  Once approved, requests for service will be coordinated directly between the approved person and Catholic Charities.  Individuals will receive written notification of their approval and instructions for requesting rides.

Additional Information

  • Catholic Charities Employees use their personal vehicle to provide door-to-door transportation.
  • Wheel Chair Transportation is not available and individuals must be able to enter/exit vehicles unassisted.
  • There will be no charge to an individual approved for this service.
  • Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian during transport and if required by NYS Law to be in a car/booster seat, it must be provided and installed by the care giver.
  • Rides are generally available Mon-Fri between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (excluding holidays)
  • Evening hours from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm are available on a limited basis.
  • Recurring Out of county transportation is not generally available
  • Care giver of an approved child may use this service to get to child related services/meetings/appointments, even if the child is not present.
  • Shared rides of up to 5 passengers may occur to be able to serve a maximum number of people.
